According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Michael Jordan is in talks to share his majority stake in the Charlotte Hornets.
Sources told the outlet that there is "significant momentum" on a sale that would lead to Hornets minority owner Gabe Plotkin and Atlanta Hawks minority owner Rick Schnall as the co-governors of the Hornets. The sources added that Jordan would maintain a minority stake in the Hornets after paying $275 million for a majority stake in the franchise in 2010.
This comes after Jordan sold a minority stake in the Hornets to Plotkin and Daniel Sundheim, founder and chief investment officer of D1 Capital, in 2020. ESPN added that Sundheim is part of the group working to purchase the majority stake of the team.
