Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell recently revealed that a sequel to their iconic 1997 duo comedy movie ‘Good Burger’ has been greenlit.
The news arrived via the pair while they appeared on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.’ The original movie is a spin-off to a skit featuring Mitchell as “Ed” on the Nickelodeon series ‘All That.’ It was noted that production would start for the movie in May 2023, with Paramount+ planning to release the film later this year.
Thompson spoke on the new iteration of ‘Good Burger,’ saying, “I can’t believe it’s been a little over 25 years since great customer service was born at Good Burger! Being a part of something so many generations of people have come to love has made me so proud and now to be back where it all began working on the sequel is surreal! Love performing with my brother Kel and can’t wait to show the fans what these characters have been up to since we last saw them.” Watch the duo’s announcement above.
