New York Drill rapper 22Gz is going viral after debuting a shocking new look on Instagram, where it looks like his eyeball is completely black.
While most people speculated that he was wearing special effect contacts, he told a follower on Instagram Live, "Nah, these ain’t no contacts, boy. These is tats."
Many people were speaking about the dangers of tattooing your eyeballs after 22Gz made the claims. Back in December, a 32-year-old woman named Anaya Peterson feared she would go blind after getting her eyes tattooed. Peterson spoke about the complications she faced after getting the dangerous procedure done, including being at risk for cataracts after having 20/20 vision prior to getting the tattoo.
She told Kennedy News, "I don’t have 20/20 vision anymore. From a distance, I can’t see features on faces. If I didn’t have my eyeballs tattooed, I wouldn’t be having this problem. Even today, I woke up with more floaters in my eyes. And that is dangerous."
