Billionaire Porsche executive Wolfgang Porsche is catching backlash after citing his wife Claudia's "dementia-like illness" as the reason he's filing for divorce
The 79-year-old Wolfgang has been in a relationship with Claudia, 74, since 2007, and the two were married in 2019. He is chairman of the Supervisory Board of Porsche Automobil Holding SE, as well as Porsche AG. Wolfgang's grandfather, Ferdinand Porsche Sr., was the founder of Porsche AG.
Wolfgang reportedly cited "dramatic changes" in Claudia's personality as grounds for their separation. German-language tabloid Bild reported that Claudia has been unable to move without assistance for months. They added that she has had four caretakers who have assisted and cared for her around the clock over the past two years.
Amid the news of Wolfgang filing for divorce, it has been reported that he has become romantic with his friend of 25 years, 59-year-old Gabriela Prinzessin zu Leiningen. There have been reports that Wolfgang has moved in with Gabriela, although it has yet to be confirmed.
