Chloe Bailey’s appearance in the first episode of the ‘Swarm’ series went viral, as the singer was involved in a steamy sex scene with actor Damson Idris. While it was clear Bailey was acting, many viewers took the sexual display to heart, resulting in backlash against the artist. Now, Bailey has addressed the backlash she’s received since the show's release.

While speaking to Big Boy, the artist spoke about being confused about why fans reacted to her scene with Damson as they did. Big Boy noted that after seeing the scene numerous times, he didn’t understand why her acting was an issue. Bailey said, “I’m an actress and I feel like it’s about art, and when I first received the script […] it was just insane and gorgeous, and I think people were actually forgetting the plot of that scene.”

From there, Bailey addressed the scene further, saying, “It’s not about seeing me in the mirror of that scene, but I think because it’s me doing it, that’s what kinda makes it blow out of proportion, but I’m barely seen for two seconds in that.” The actress then gave props to her co-star Dominique Fishback, who she says was the scene's focus.

Bailey concluded her thoughts on the backlash, saying, “I’m an actress. I was doing my job, and people kinda gotta remember I’m an adult and I’m an artist and nothing was seen that they haven’t seen from me.” Watch at the 16-minute mark above.
