Much has been made about former MVP Lamar Jackson not having an agent help negotiate his future plans on the field, but apparently Meek Mill is partially fulfilling that role.

According to reports, Meek Mill texted his buddy, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft that Lamar wants to play for the Pats amid publicizing his formal trade request from the Baltimore Ravens. Ben Volin of the Boston Globe first reported the story and added that Kraft said bringing Lamar on board this coming season would be "Bill [Belichick's] decision."

Jackson tweeted on Monday that he formally asked the Ravens for a trade on March 2 claiming the franchise "has not been interested in meeting my value," meaning he "had to make a business decision that was best for my family and I."
