While on the promo run for his forthcoming project with Curren$y titled "For Motivational Use Only," Jermaine Dupri detailed how he managed to pull the incomparable Janet Jackson with the guys on the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast.
Wallo flatly asked Jermaine Dupri around the 48 min mark of the interview, "How did you pull Janet man?" adding, "How the f*** do you pull somebody on that level?"
According to Dupri, the approach was simple and it had nothing to do with trying to use music as an entry point. "I was just on some like hang out [stuff]," Dupri said. "I wasn’t on no music s***."
"We got an argument about me not producing her because she was around me watching everybody else get hit records," he said. Jermaine added that he also didn't want to interfere with Janet's already fruitful artist-producer relationship with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.
