In this clip, Cavario started off speaking to Freeway Ricky about how average Black and brown people weren’t aware of the possibility that was displayed on shows like “The Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.” He added that the show contributed to making people in these communities feel bad about their lifestyle, which he said led to people being desperate for these things and getting in the streets. Cavario added that the luxurious lifestyle was perpetuated with rappers speaking down on people who aren’t living the same, and Freeway Ricky agreed, adding that they’re demeaning most listeners. This led to a discussion about Grizzlies superstar Ja Morant, who was waving a gun on Instagram Live. Freeway Ricky said he was hoping that the video of Ja was taken at his house, but when he found out that it was at a strip club, his thoughts changed. When Freeway Ricky stated that the culture pushes being tough, Cavario added that only a child would think that holding a gun makes you tough. Cavario then spoke about rappers adopting a more violent image since the beginning of hip-hop, and he went on to speak about Skip Bayless questioning if Ja Morant is a Crip, and Freeway Ricky laughed at Skip saying, “I’ve only seen him throw up signs three times.” When Cavario brought up that Patrick Beverley stated that hip-hop music is influencing Morant, Freeway Ricky believes that art is imitating life. This led Freeway Ricky to state that the amount of homicides on “Snowfall” is unrealistic, adding, “You ain’t doing no five murders in L.A. and walking around in the streets.”
