Update 03/31/2023 10:47am:

Previously, Jim Jones appeared on AllHipHopTV and spoke about the ‘Verzuz’ that went down between The Lox and Dipset. Jones noted he wanted a rematch to take place between the two crews, with Jones noting that Dipset wasn’t fully ready for the match-up in 2021 with Jadakiss, Sheek, and Styles P. Since then, Jadakiss has responded to the possibility of a rematch.

During an interview with VIBE, the Verzuz match against Dipset was mentioned, with the interviewer bringing up Jones asking for a rematch. “You gotta talk to my advisors,” said Jada when asked his thoughts. After laughing, the “Knock Yourself Out” rapper said, “I would love to run it back, you know what I mean? Why not? For sure.”

Jim Jones recently dropped his album ‘Back In My Prime,’ produced entirely by Hitmaka. Since releasing the project, Jones has been appearing in interviews, with his latest being on AllHipHop TV. During the interview, the Dipset rapper was asked about Verzuz and noted he would be up for a rematch against The LOX.

Jones said, “I don’t think that energy will ever be duplicated outside of New York unless we go for the rematch, you heard? The way I’m thinking about it is last time, there was a lot going on. The venue was way too small. There were people on my back. There were people on people’s shoulders in there.”

Another portion of the interview found Jones comparing Dipset and The LOX to Apollo Creed and Rocky, saying, “I think we need proper respect of doing it in the Garden, the big Garden, with proper security, set up right so everybody have breathing room.” Jones doubled down on his thought, saying, “Not using it as no excuse, but we need a rematch for the city. I’m puttin’ it out there. I’m puttin’ it out there like Rocky after he lost to Apollo Creed — And we gonna be ready like hot spaghetti.” The rapper then said they should even score it like a boxing match, including judges.
