During the national championship game against Iowa, LSU star Angel Reese made a “You can’t see me” gesture towards Iowa player Caitlin Clark, who previously made the gesture to other opponents while trash-talking them on the court. While many were impressed with Reese’s ability to back up what she was talking, others seemingly fired attacks at her.
One attack in particular from former ESPN commentator Keith Olbermann caught the attention of Shaquille O’Neal, causing him to exchange words with Olbermann.
Olbermann retweeted a video of Reese making the gesture to Clark and said “What a f*****g idiot.” Shaq swiftly responded, saying “Shut your dumb a** up [and] leave angel reese alone.”
After receiving backlash for his tweet, Olbermann retracted his statement, saying “I don’t follow hoops, college or pro, men or women. I had no idea about Clark. Both were wrong.” Take a look above.
