Legendary producer and Dogg Pound member Daz Dillinger has always been very vocal about how he approaches getting royalties and money owed to him in the music industry. During a recent appearance on ‘Homegrown Radio,’ Daz spoke candidly about a time when he had to “strongarm” the former face of Death Row Records—Suge Knight, for a massive amount of money.
Daz was asked what was the largest check he’s ever received in the music industry, with the producer instantly replying, “like $2.3 [million], from Suge Knight.” Daz then described how he got the money, saying he had to “strongarm” employees in the office, along with Suge, noting he did all of that with a long screwdriver while on mushrooms. Suge calmed the producer down, cut a check, and Daz was on his way.
From there, Daz said he was pulled over by the police, who searched his car. When the cop saw the check, he asked if it was real. Daz responded, “Yes,” and said the cops let him go, told him to cash the check, and get his license.
