Part 1: Dwen Curry on Being Bullied By Heterosexual Boys, Beat Bully with a Skate at 8 Years Old

In this clip, Dwen Curry detailed being roommates with Moniece Slaughter and how they had more than a contentious relationship. Dwen revealed that Moniece began messing around with her probation officer and tipped him off about Dwen’s interaction with another friend who was a convicted felon which was restricted by the conditions of her probation. She called Moniece a “square b****” and a “snitch” for getting her locked up for an additional 2 years.
Dwen talked about being released from prison after doing time for wire fraud, and when asked if she felt like she wanted to change her life, Dwen stated, “I felt like that before I went.” Dwen then revealed that her restitution was $60,000, and she explained that she wasn’t going out and robbing peoples’ accounts. Dwen explained that the people were insured for their money, and she stated that they all got their money back. When asked if she felt bad about it, Dwen stated that she felt bad that the people were inconvenienced, but she added that they all got their money back. From there, Vlad asked Dwen if she struggled with going back to her former life. Dwen stated that she doesn’t worry about trying to get back to the lifestyle she was in. However, Dwen stated that it was hard going to prison as a millionaire and coming out on government assistance.
She opened up about the dangers that trans women encounter in the dating world. She shared that she is always open and honest with the straight men she deals with before they get intimate because she has known several trans women who have been murdered for concealing their sexual identity from men. Lastly, Dwen responds to Dave Chappelle's stand-up comedy material about the trans community.
