In this clip, Vlad started off speaking to Big Gipp and James Worthy about Goodie Mob dropping their debut album, Soul Food, in 1995, which went platinum. Big Gipp then spoke about their first single, “Cell Therapy,” which he compared to Jeru the Damaja’s “Come Clean.” He went on to speak about how “Cell Therapy” had a resurgence during the COVID pandemic, which Big Gipp said was funny after 25 years. From there, Vlad brought up Goodie Mob’s next single, “Dirty South,” which was the first time the now-popular phrase was used in a song. Vlad also asked about the “Red Dogs,” a notorious crime-fighting unit in Atlanta, which led to Big Gipp pointing out that the officer who led that group has since moved on to being the Chief of Police in Memphis.
