According to reports, an alleged Chicago gang member with down syndrome has been indicted in two separate murders just 10 days apart.
Nicholas “Smush” Samudio, said to be a reputed member of the Latin Kings, was indicted on murder charges related to the Feb. 16 fatal road-rage shooting of Humberto Marin-Garcia and the Feb. 26 slaying of Tomas Villa in a possible case of mistaken identity.
Samudio was arrested following the second murder after leading police on a chase in a stolen vehicle. He was indicted last Tuesday and Friday on felony murder counts for the two shootings. Apparently, Samudio is well known by Chicago police and is believed to have been involved with past murders.
