Jim Jones made an appearance on AllHipHop’s podcast and spoke about previously working with Dr. Dre at the height of Dipset’s success. Jones noted that the crew and Dre have records together sitting in the legendary producer’s vault.
When talking about the process of recording with Dre, Jones said, “It was the first time had somebody really make me do my verse over like twenty times. It had made me think about Tupac and Snoop and all the others that had to get the beats from Dre.” The Harlem rapper then spoke about creating several songs with Dre, with none of the Dipset members getting access to any of the records. Jones said, “He better not put it out because I am charging him $2 million for my verse.” Watch above.
