Montrel Burley was revealed to be one of the two murder suspects wanted in the death of rapper BTB Savage, who was tragically gunned down on March 30. According to ABC13, Montrel Lenard Burley, 40, is charged with murder and remains at large. The other suspect's name has yet to be released to the public.

After Houston police identified Burley, more people started looking into his past, revealing that he was an aspiring rapper. This led to a video made by Burley, a rapper who goes by the name Versus 600, made about a month ago. The video is for a track named "Pain is Love," and was dedicated to Omar "Stew Wop" Richardson. It was revealed that Richardson is the man who BTB Savage and his girlfriend killed in self-defense during an alleged robbery, which BTB Savage detailed in his interview with VladTV.

BTB Savage's mother also addressed the incident, which she believes led to her son being killed in retaliation. BTB Savage’s mother, Bernita Ward, told ABC 13 that she told her son to take down a social media post about the deadly robbery incident. She stated, "I said take that off social media. Let this family mourn in peace. They were taunting my son, though, telling him they were going to kill the family, make his momma cry, and kill his son. I told my son, ‘Don’t respond. Let it go.’ But their family member came to rob my son."

She added, "The moral of this story is two mothers lost two amazing sons and that their children would be raised without fathers. That’s the sad thing."
