A few weeks ago, when Jalen Rose walked onto the set of NBA Today on ESPN, he was welcomed by the show's host, Malika Rose Andrews, as the two co-workers briefly embraced with an awkward side-hug. With Jalen's hand and all five of his fingers visibly placed on top of her shoulder, Malika uttered some words that baffled a fair portion of the show's viewers.

"Get your hands out of my armpit," Malika said during the nationally televised broadcast.

Since then, rumors have been swirling that Jalen Rose is on the verge of being fired from "The Worldwide Leader in Sports" after being an on-air employee since 2007. In response, Malika Andrews has garnered harsh criticism as several male sports fans have accused her of unfairly placing Jalen in a 'Me Too' predicament. Kwame Brown, a known sports-media rival of several notable on-air personalities at ESPN, such as Stephen A. Smith and Matt Barnes, recently aired his grievances against Malika on social media.

"That type of woman that Malika Andrews is...she is a representation of the type of woman in the world, in my opinion," Kwame said. "You want to have an opinion on everything? You want to talk about everything? But then you want to tip the scale to where this feminist bullsh*t is ruling. Jalen Rose did not put his hand in your armpit ma'am. And if that was something that he did and you thought he did, and this man revered you as his sister, you might have wanted to talk to your brother off-camera. Ya'll better be careful about these women like this...You know what Malika? We never heard you say nothing about Dana White slapping his wife over and over again. How come we never heard that ma'am? How come you always attacking Black men and always trying to make sure Black men are in line? Who's paying you to do that ma'am?"

Two years ago, Rachel Nichols, a fan-favorite at ESPN, was fired by the company for her commentary about the way in which Malika Andrews came into her position as an NBA reporter and host with the company.
