In 2018, Jake Paul kicked off his boxing career with a modest victory on the undercard of a live event headlined by the first KSI vs. Logan Paul fight. Since then, the younger sibling of the Paul brothers has earned approximately $50 million in a budding boxing career that included an impressive 6-0 start until Tommy Fury blemished his undefeated record via split decision on February 26th. Jake Paul fought valiantly in his first bout against a professional boxer, and he has the right to exercise the "rematch clause" from the contract that he signed with Tommy Fury prior to their highly anticipated showdown in Saudi Arabia. Nevertheless, "Paul-Fury II" will have to wait because, for now, it appears that Jake Paul is shifting gears back towards familiarity. Most of his boxing opponents have been former UFC fighters (Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley on two occasions, and Anderson Silva). Hence, this time around, the orthodox fighter will be opposed by UFC legend Nate Diaz, a 37-year-old who is 3-3 in his last six UFC-sanctioned battles. The boxing match is scheduled for eight rounds in Dallas, Texas, on August 5th. The combatants have negotiated a weight of 185 pounds and will use 10-ounce gloves. Nate Diaz has no previous experience as a boxer.
