G Herbo was previously arrested for alleged involvement in a $1.5 million fraud case. The rapper was then accused of lying to a federal agent about his connection to the ringleader of the identity theft scam. According to HipHopDX, Herbo, and his legal team requested a sitdown with the feds to speak about the possibility of a plea deal in the identity and fraud case.

The documents that surfaced from the United States District Court in the District of Massachusetts show that the rapper and his legal team asked for a Rule 11 hearing. The hearing is also known as a Waiver of Indictment hearing. According to the Massachusetts Criminal Procedure, the hearing is “designed to promote the speedy and orderly disposition of cases at a time certain which is most convenient to all parties, and to that end, it calls upon defendants’ counsel to aid the court in the disposition of all preliminary motions and other matters relative to pending cases.”

The request made by G Herbo for the Rule 11 hearing will take place on June 12, 2023, or after. Stay tuned for more updates.
