In this clip, Vlad started off asking Big Gipp about saying that Suge Knight and Diddy have had bodyguards that are police officers around them for years. Big Gipp added that they had been interrogated at some point, and he stated, “They have a number to call.” Big Gipp then pointed to the club shooting involving Diddy and Shyne, which sent the latter to jail, and he explained that it’s easy to cooperate in those situations. From there, Big Gipp spoke about labels going to the big cities to look for the biggest street rappers, only to watch the “train wreck” unfold. When Vlad brought up the repercussions against labels after the YSL case is over, Big Gipp stated that the industry is moving to AI artists because they’ve “purged the streets” for years. Big Gipp also spoke about label deals, which Vlad pointed out is just a loan, and Vlad went on to speak about being offered a publishing deal from YouTube. Vlad went on to speak about a former label exec telling him that he’s never seen an artist turn down a publishing deal. This led to Big Gipp speaking about never signing a publishing deal in his decades in the business.
