The rise of artificial intelligence in music has found many creating different versions of songs featuring the voices of prominent artists, leading record labels to issue takedowns of these fictional-yet-realistic sounding songs. Drake was the most recent product of the AI wave, with voice technology used to create a version of Ice Spice’s “Munch,” with the Canadian rapper reciting the lyrics.
Drake caught word of the AI rendition via The Shade Room and screenshotted the headline along with his own commentary on the track. “This the final straw AI,” said Drake. News of this mirrors sentiments of concerns expressed by producer and engineer Young Guru earlier this year. Take a look above.
