In light of Napoleon of the Outlawz going viral for saying that Snoop Dogg was mad at 2Pac for taking his shine, we take a look back at Napoleon's 2020 VladTV interview. In the clip, Vlad started off asking Napoleon about grabbing the mic away from Diddy at the MTV Awards, where Biggie and 2Pac were honored after they passed away. Napoleon explained that he didn’t want to attend the event, but his manager pushed him to do it to show that their beef with Bad Boy was over. Napoleon explained that he planned the mic snatching while he was drunk and rehearsing, and Napoleon spoke about The Outlawz being kicked out after he and Diddy had an altercation. Napoleon then revealed that he met with Diddy alone, and he added that Diddy asked him why he snatched the mic. He clarified that nothing happened during their conversation, and Napoleon stated that he “felt blackballed” after the incident. From there, Napoleon spoke about being with 2Pac and a bunch of people he knew from New Jersey when 2Pac met with Nas in New York. Napoleon then stated that Snoop Dogg’s claims that Nas gave 2Pac a “pass,” and he explained that Nas and 2Pac handled the situation without violence and like men. Vlad then asked Napoleon about Snoop Dogg telling Angie Martinez that Diddy and Biggie were his friends. Napoleon stated that he was in the studio when Snoop Dogg was dissing Diddy and Biggie, and he added that 2Pac’s falling out with Snoop was because he felt that Snoop was playing both sides. Napoleon clarified that 2Pac would’ve respected Snoop Dogg if he told Pac that he was friends with Diddy and Biggie. Napoleon also stated that he’s sure 2Pac and Snoop Dogg loved one another, but he added that 2Pac was hurt over Snoop’s comments.
