Many of the most infamous behind-the-scenes stories from the heyday of Death Row Records involve the company's former CEO, Suge Knight, and his unorthodox tactics for disciplining his artists and intimidating personnel within the confines of his workplace. An incident that stands out for several of Suge Knight's former associates happened back in 1996 when the co-founder of Death Row Records reportedly orchestrated the vicious beatdown of a man who was wandering around in the hallway of his studios during a business meeting. Occurrences of this nature have only added to the mystic behind label's legendary run as one of the most dominant imprints in the rap industry during the 1990s.

Suge Knight was sentenced to 28 years in prison for a voluntary manslaughter incident that resulted in the death of Terry Carter back in 2015. But that hasn't stopped the man who was once one of hip-hop's most successful entrepreneurs from embarking on a new business venture in television and film. In a recent interview with TMZ Hip Hop, the former CEO of Death Row Records talked about an upcoming BMF-inspired biopic series on a streaming platform called BLK Prime that will share details about the company's iconic run when legendary acts such as Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and Nate Dogg were on its roster. According to Suge, the upcoming series will be rolled out over the course of ten seasons, and he will provide narration from behind bars. Elsewhere in the interview with TMZ Hip Hop, the 58-year-old also spoke about the aggressive work environment he established as the alpha leader.
