In this clip, D.L. Hughley started off by pointing out that it’s crazy that it was legal to own slaves, but now it’s illegal to teach that to kids today. From there, D.L. spoke about there being a history in America of properties being taken from Black people, like Manhattan Beach. Vlad then spoke about the beach being given back to the descendants of the original owners, who later sold it back to the city. This led to D.L. speaking about his family buying a mountain in Malibu, where they prospered, which was later taken from them.
