The long-standing fluctuating friendship between Ma$e, Cam'ron, and Jim Jones has been well-documented over the course of the last two decades. Ma$e famously took credit for putting his fellow Harlem-based rappers on during an interview with Hot 97 back in 2004. Since then, all of the men have had a fallout with one another at one point or another. Cam'ron reconciled with Jim Jones and Ma$e. But as far as Ma$e and Jim Jones are concerned, the latter would prefer not to make amends with his former friend.
“I don’t care about Ma$e,” Jim Jones said during a recent interview with the Breakfast Club. “I don’t care for Ma$e too much. Tell Ma$e [to] go say some prayers. Word up.”
Despite the slight verbal jab, Jim Jones tipped his cap to Cam'ron and Ma$e for paving the way for an onslaught of Harlem rappers from their generation.
