According to reports, Ime Udoka will be back on NBA sidelines next season as the head coach for the rebuilding Houston Rockets.
ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski broke the news on Monday that Udoka would be taking the reins in Houston after the Rockets fired Stephen Silas after a 58-177 record over the last three seasons. Udoka will now have an opportunity to take Jalen Green and Kevin Porter Jr. and attempt to cultivate a winning duo like he helped do with Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown in Boston.
The Udoka hire also flies in the face of many claiming he'd never coach in the league again after the scandal that got him fired from Boston. Udoka was also being considered for the coaching vacancy in Toronto before reports surfaced about his move to Houston.
