42 Dugg was sentenced to one year in prison after recently being on trial for "failure to surrender" in his federal case. This comes after the Detroit rapper pled guilty to the charges back in February.

The charges stem from a gun case that 42 Dugg caught after someone called in an anonymous tip about him shooting a gun while on probation back in 2019. As a convicted felon, 42 Dugg was not able to possess a gun, and he caught a break after negotiating three years probation for the charges. However, a judge revoked his probation in February 2022 after he was arrested for obstruction of law enforcement and battery in Las Vegas. It was also revealed that 42 Dugg also had multiple positive test results for use of controlled substances.

A judge then sentenced 42 Dugg to six months in prison for violating his parole, which he was to serve in West Virginia. However, federal agents arrested the rapper when he failed to turn himself in to serve his sentence. This led to the charges for failing to surrender and his current one-year sentence.
