Video coming out of Florida shows the harrowing moments when a knife-wielding suspect was gunned down by a member of SWAT after trying to stab the K-9.
Police reportedly responded to a call that the suspect Matvey Klimenko was allegedly holding his girlfriend hostage at knifepoint. Authorities claim Klimenko broke into his girlfriend's residence and threatened to kill her. After successfully negotiating his girlfriend out of the house, Klimenko made a run for it.
The K-9 was released to pursue Klimenko when police found him in the front yard of a nearby home. Klimenko is seen motioning as if he was going to stab the dog before an officer yells out, “Don’t let him stab him!” As he brought the blade down toward the dog shots rang out. Klimenko was later pronounced dead.
