Angela D’Williams, the public defender for YSL defendant Lil Rod, is speaking out, as she believes Georgia Public Defender Council (GPDC) isn't paying enough for the complexity of the high-profile case. It was revealed that D'Williams is being paid $15,000 for the case, which is expected to last a year, and she explained why this is an issue with her being able to take on other cases.

D'Williams explained, "This case is slated to last for about a year, and if you were to do the math, it would be six dollars an hour. I can’t take any new cases. I can’t close any cases. I need something to survive off of."

She went on to speak about possibly starting an OnlyFans to survive, stating, "It is frustrating but we were under the impression that GPDC was advocating for us and once they put those walls up, I'm thinking I need to start an 'Only Fans' [account] because I don't know what else to do. I'm very serious. I might have to do an 'Only Fans' because at least I can still support my client and support me and my family."

D'Williams added, "I asked for additional funds back in March, and that was met with a letter from the director saying she doesn't need to meet with me anymore. I need to know what she has done to advocate for the appointed counsel in this case."
