Previously, it was noted there may have been tension in the Griselda Records camp, with Conway The Machine revealing there were issues with his contract for the label. Westside Gunn eventually broke his silence, saying, “They tried to blow it out of proportion like I robbed my brother. And what he was saying was he never read the contract, which he didn’t. That’s my brother, but he can’t ever say I cheated on him.”
Despite addressing the matter, rumors still swirled surrounding the reported issues. Since then, Benny The Butcher has spoken on the matter, saying he doesn’t know where the issue stems from. “‘Cause I’m in the loop with both of ’em. Whatever that was going on, I know that they was talking. Same thing, I called, they checking up on each other. But this is what I wanna say: that’s to the world. Remind you that these are my cousins. That ain’t the first time, it won’t be the last,” said Benny.
The rapper noted that Conway and Westside Gunn are his older cousins, and he isn’t stepping in between their business. Benny then jokingly said, “You see them boys together in Paris — I wasn’t there! I’m like, ‘The f**k you n***as ain’t call me for?! Trust me, it’s never nothing where n***as ain’t doing business, getting money, ain’t at each other’s crib.
