Update 05/06/2023 4:18pm:

The widow of Pimp C—Chinara Butler recently took to Instagram to clear up a story Hurricane Chris told about Pimp C threatening to “slaughter” him and his team.

While on Math Hoffa, Chris said Pimp C got at him over being removed from the “Ay Bay Bay” remix, with the late rapper saying “He called me the day he found out he wasn’t on that remix and said, ‘Chris where you at man? I’m outside I know where you at. Tell them n***as to come outside mane. We finna slaughter them b**ch ass n***as.’”

Via Instagram, Ms. Butler addressed Chris’ comments, explaining that Pimp C didn’t say he was going to kill anyone. She then said Pimp C took two days to record vocals for the “Ay Bay Bay” remix so that he could send to the A&R but was told it was too late for the verse to be used. Pimp C reportedly got upset and wanted to do a remix called “A-K-K,” then saying her husband meant he wanted to “kill the competition” on the track, not literally. Watch above.

Hurricane Chris tapped into the hip-hop world with his hit song “A Bay Bay” and was able to create a massive remix featuring the likes of Boosie, Birdman, E-40, and Jadakiss, among others. However, while speaking to Math Hoffa for his ‘Expert Opinion’ podcast, the rapper noted he had regrets about who didn’t make the cut, with one of the rappers not being on the remix, including Pimp C of UGK.

Chris went on to say, “This how the remix come about. A million people send verses in. Everybody in the game.  But my relationships with Birdman, Lil Wayne, um Boosie — people that I respect on the West Coast were E40. The people I respected [on the East Coast] were Jadakiss.”

The rapper said he had verses from everybody but was only able to choose a few. A regret he expressed was Pimp C being cut from the song, noting that it wasn’t his call or CEO Brian Leach’s move, but Pimp C’s A&R. “That hurt my heart. Still to this day. I regret the fact that Pimp C ain’t on ‘A Bay Bay’ bro,” said the rapper.

Chris then said, “And guess what? The A&R that Pimp C sent the verse to got killed. I ain’t even got the verse.” He then spoke about the aftermath of Pimp being taken off the song, saying, “He called me the day he found out he wasn’t on that remix and said, ‘Chris where you at man? I’m outside I know where you at. Tell them n***as to come outside mane. We finna slaughter them bitch ass n***as.’” Watch above.
