Lil Durk recently sat down with Brandon Johnson, the new Mayor-elect of Chicago. The sit-down reportedly had nothing to do with music, and photos of the encounter between the two were captured.
DJ Akademiks posted photos of Durk and the new Mayor, saying, “Durk sits down with the new mayor of Chicago.” Many speculated if the sit-down was a push for promo towards a new album. However, Durk hopped in the comments of Akademiks’ post, saying, “It ain’t album promo it’s saving kids’ [lives].” The rapper previously sat down with former mayor Lori Lightfoot for dinner.
