Lil Wayne recently sat down with Missy Elliott for an episode of TV One’s Uncensored series, where he opened up about recording his verse on Drake's "Light Up" while he was incarcerated at Rikers Island.

Lil Wayne explained that there was a lot of work that went into recording his verse over the phone, as he explained that there had to be total silence in the background. This meant that the other inmates had a curfew to be in their cells, and Wayne revealed that the officers helped him to keep things quiet.

Lil Wayne also revealed that he won his fellow inmates' phone time by playing Uno and other card games and winning. He then explained that since the correction officers were such big hip-hop fans, they were "damn near acting like engineers" as Wayne recorded his verse. You can hear the full story above.
