Another update has arrived in the Young Thug YSL RICO case, with news noting the rapper was rushed to hospital after a medical scare.
According to WSB-TV, the rapper had a medical emergency during his court date on Thursday (May 11), resulting in him being taken to the hospital. The rapper’s lawyers noted that he had been released since being hospitalized.
Because of medical privacy laws, the cause of illness for the rapper wasn’t listed. While speaking to the judge, the lawyer for Young Thug said, “I know he’s had some difficulty of a similar sort at the Cobb County Jail a few months ago, and so I’m obviously concerned about his wellbeing.”
At a previous bond hearing in April, Thugger was dealing with exhaustion, with his lawyers saying, “Mr. Williams is sleep deprived, mandated to wake up on court days between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. and not having more than five hours of sleep per night. By the end of the week, Mr. Williams is fighting to pay attention to the goings on in his case.”
Thug’s lawyer Keith Adams issued a statement to Variety: "Jeffery was not feeling well earlier, and the sheriff’s office had him seen by medical personnel to ensure that he was okay. We expect to be back in court tomorrow as we continue to fight these charges and work toward getting him home.” Stay tuned for more updates.
