Young Thug has faced health issues while dealing with his case this past week, as the rapper was taken to the hospital numerous times. Now, a report surfaced saying the rapper and his legal team have challenged evidence stemming from a recording that came from a Ring doorbell. The recording is believed to be the rapper’s voice, which his team is arguing against.
An incident in Atlanta left over a dozen shell casings found at a residence, with the home being hit ten times. Following an investigation, it was noted a Ring doorbell system was used to communicate with a person, with the conversation being captured on the body camera of a cop. One officer who wasn’t identified alleged that the voice on the camera was Young Thug.
Thug’s lawyer Brian Steel is pushing to ban the record. The lawyer says if the prosecution is looking to bring the doorbell recording as evidence, a solid basis for voice identification must be established. Otherwise, the prosecution should not be allowed to use the recording.
