Ja Morant was recently seen flashing a gun again on Instagram Live. The footage of him on his friend’s live feed was taken down but ultimately went viral before that. As a result, the NBA star has been suspended from all activities related to the Memphis Grizzlies. Since then, many chimed in on Morant’s decisions, like Fat Joe and more. Now, ‘Breakfast Club’ host Charlamagne Tha God has given the title of “Donkey of the Day” to Ja Morant.
While talking about Morant, Charlamagne said the situation is “one of the biggest fumbles we’ve ever seen.” The host went on to say, “Lord have mercy. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over, expecting different results.”
Charlamagne noted the blame should not be shifted to anyone except Morant. “When this story is told in the future, and we talk about one of the biggest fumbles we’ve ever seen in the history of life, we not gonna say Davonte Pack fumbled the bag. We not gonna say Tee Morant fumbled the opportunity. No. All the credit for that is going to go to you,” said the host. He then called out people who previously asked why Morant owning a gun was an issue, saying, “Shut the f**k up forever.”
Charlamagne noted he supported owning a gun, but said, “What you’re not understanding is Ja is not just an individual, he’s a business. And in business, there’s morality clauses, and anything a company feels is damaging to the brand is in violation of that morality clause.” The host then said, “I don’t want Ja Morant to lose everything, but I’m not gonna sit around and co-sign self-destructive behavior either.” Watch above.
