Brooklyn Drill rappers Sheff G (aka Michael Williams) & Sleepy Hallow have been charged with 140 counts stemming from 27 acts of violence and 12 shootings. The massive police sweep also resulted in 30 other purported gang members being charged in a series of citywide shootings. The criminal acts allegedly committed by the 8 Trey Crips and their affiliates in the 9 Ways gang were aimed at their rivals in the Folk Nation Gangster Disciples and ICG Babiiez.

According to the indictment, Sheff G paid other purported gang members to carry out the shootings above in exchange for expensive jewelry. The "Weight On Me" rapper reportedly orchestrated the gun incidents before driving his shooters to and from the crime scenes.

"The senseless gun violence, allegedly committed by these defendants, terrorized our neighbors for years and left more than a dozen people with serious injuries," said Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez. "It is distressing to know that some of the violence was allegedly fueled by a young man who used money he made from a successful music career to allegedly pay for and encourage acts of violence."
