Earlier this year, Cam'ron made headlines when he jokingly reported on an alleged stabbing incident, involving troubled ex-NBA player Ben Gordon, as a correspondent outside of the NYC hospital where he was taken. Gordon was recently asked about the viral episode of It Is What It Is as an interviewee on The Jig Is Up. Not only did Gordon indicate that legal action might be forthcoming, he also challenged the iconic Dipset co-founder to a one-on-one basketball game for money.
“Cameras is Cam’ron-ing,” the former Chicago Bulls' shooting guard said. “To think a grown man drove from where he was to come mock — f*ck outta here, man. That n*gga silly. Yo look, libel slander is a real thing, man. My lawyers is lawyering. I know you like to say shit like that. Yeah, my computers is computing, that’s what your shits is doing? F*ck outta here, gang...It was a black-on-black crime that day. Cam’ron, you know, they probably called the police and everything on me … Them boys set me up. The cameras is Camron-ing. Ben Gordon continued: "I probably got more money than that lil n*gga. F*ck outta here, that lil rap money, man. That n*gga still doing reality shows. F*ck outta here Cameron Giles. And I’ll bust your ass one-on-one, n*gga. This personal, n*gga. I know where you at, n-gga..“I could pull up right now with the basketball shorts, hoop kicks, everything, n*gga. Smoke, n-gga. In response, Cam'ron took to Instagram to poke fun and Ben Gordon, once again before threatening to have him placed in a mental Institution.
"Dear Ben Gordon, I like to apologize I didn’t understand my actions when I did that report on you," Cam'ron wrote. "Im scared at this point because you are giving me male rapist/tommy shepherd/hobo vibes Pause, You wanna Cal Watson me? Pause, u said you a Big bull? Ayoooo, and U wanna give me crazy hard boonks in my what?? Pause. U gotta it champ I don’t know where ya mind is at but there will be No one on one’s with me and you in NO WAY. Pause. Im frightened and afraid. I got ya message loud and clear and I will have you institutionalized if necessary. Sorry Ben Ben...to translate this message it means, FOH BEN!!!!!
