A man in Washington D.C. was captured on video going on a violent rampage at a local Chipotle over the speed of his order.
The video shows the man throwing display items, ingredients, and even the register at the female worker behind the counter. The employee said that things took a turn after she caught him trying to take his tacos from behind the counter, presumably before he paid for the food.
“He tried to steal them, and he didn’t get away with it because I threw them in the trash. And then he just got mad after that,” said the worker who did not want to be identified.
“A lot of crazy stuff happens at this Chipotle, but not that,” she added.
“We are aware of the unfortunate incident that occurred in one of our Washington, DC, restaurants last month,” said Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Laurie Schalow. “The health and safety of our employees is our greatest priority, and we will continue working closely with authorities to ensure justice is served for individuals that do not treat our teams with the respect they deserve.”
