Last year, a fight between Crip Mac and Jap5 occurred at the Wayside Jail in Los Angeles County. The inevitable showdown between the famous 55th Street Crip and the Hoover Street native occurred after their beef unfolded in the public eye for about a year on other media outlets such as No Jumper. It was also a highly anticipated affair on social media and behind bars. Accounts of the scuffle have been retold on various occasions, but following his recent release from prison, Crip Mac participated in an interview with Lush World News, where he admitted that his old rap rival legitimately hurt him during their short bout behind bars. Crip Mac indicated that although he fought valiantly, Jap5's stamina, power, and punch combos proved to be the decisive factor before the scuffle was eventually broken up by fellow inmates. As Crip Mac's entertaining revelation ended, he stated that he learned about Jap5's boxing background shortly after the fight was already over.
