23-year-old Jordan Rivera lost his arm after being attacked by an alligator when he fell into a pond behind Banditos Bar in the Port Charlotte, Florida area. Rivera's story went viral online due to the wild nature, as he went to the pond to urinate after there was a long line inside the bar.
Rivera spoke to a local NBC affiliate while recovering in the hospital, where he revealed that he doesn't remember the attack, just falling in the pond and waking up in the hospital. He explained, "I just saw a little lake and just went over there and just, you know, take a little pee, what not. Something happened where I either tripped or the ground below me just went down. I ended up in the water. And that’s literally the last thing I remember."
Rivera seemed thankful to be alive after the incident, as he stated, "I didn’t lose my life; I lost an arm. It’s not the end of the world, you know?" You can hear more above.
