NBA commissioner Adam Silver spoke with the media ahead of Game 1 of the 2023 NBA Finals where he fielded several questions, most notably about the status of Memphis Grizzlies embattled star Ja Morant.
According to Silver, the decision on the duration of Morant's suspension will be announced after the conclusion of the NBA Finals. Silver also disclosed to the media that the league's investigation has "uncovered a fair amount of additional information" and "probably could have brought it to a head now," but will hold off on making that information public out of respect of the two teams currently competing in the finals.
