Snoop Dogg is one of the most visible and vocal fans of the Los Angeles Lakers there is. Next to someone like Jack Nicholson, he is arguably the most popular fan of the team as well. Therefore, when talking about Laker lore, Snoop has that history committed to his brain with all the NBA greats who've worn the purple and gold.
The Long Beach, CA native recently listed his top five Los Angeles Lakers of all-time while appearing on The Pivot Podcast and one player was noticeably missing from the list.
“You can put ’em where you want ’em at.” “Kareem Abdul-Jabbar — formerly known as Lou Alcindor until Malcolm got ahold of ’em,” he lists as his first selection. “Magic ‘Earvin’ Johnson out of East Lansing. Do you understand me? Kobe ‘Jellybean’ Bryant. Oh lord, it’s finna get hard. Shaquille ‘The Real Deal’ O’Neal,” he continued. “It ain’t none of them new guys. They ain’t done enough.” He then a few of his other favorites including, Jerry West, Michael Cooper and James Worthy, before saying, “I’ma go with Wilt The Stilt!” “He averaged 50 points a game, man.”
