In Mid-May, Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant landed in hot water after appearing to flash a gun on Instagram live, two months after a similar incident resulted in an 8-game suspension by the NBA. Not only did the concerning footage increase the scrutiny that the 23-year-old was already under, but it also ignited questions about the friends and family within his inner circle from pundits such as Shannon Sharpe, Stephen A. Smith, Chris Broussard, and Rob Parker. Initially, Ja Morant's father, Tee, received the brunt of the skepticism, but the latest IG gun-flashing video has placed attention squarely on his childhood friend, Davonte Pack. That's because Ja's former AAU teammate was present for both of Ja's gun-flashing videos on social media. He was also with Ja during the "gun threat/red laser" incident that occurred after he was escorted out of the Grizzlies' home arena for getting into a verbal exchange with some of the players from Indiana Pacers on January 29th. The Grizzlies banned Davonte Pack from attending home games at the FedEx Forum in Memphis because of their findings that night.

Earlier this week, Ja Morant unfollowed his fellow South Carolina native, amid months of controversy surrounding their friendship.
