A Florida woman is behind bars after her car went up in flames while her two children sat inside as she shoplifted.
Alicia Moore, 24, left her two young children in the car as she entered the the Dillard’s department store at the Oviedo Mall on May 26. Authorities say the kids were too young and “could not care for themselves." Moore and another man who has yet to be identified went inside and allegedly began stealing.
Nearly an hour after her shoplifting spree, Moore found her car engulfed in flames outside. Luckily, when the car initially caught on fire those nearby sprang into action and rescued the children inside. However, one child suffered first-degree burns to the face and ears.
Moore was charged with aggravated child neglect and arson as well as petty theft and battery charges.
