According to NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the NBA is facing quite a bit of pressure from several teams around the league to dish out a harsh penalty against Ja Morant amid his second IG Live gun incident.
"There's just not a lot of empathy around the NBA, and I think there's even pressure from some teams to deal fairly harshly with Ja Morant," said Woj. As a marquee player in the league, a tough suspension against Morant could be a future deterrant for other players around the NBA.
Just ahead of Game 1 of the NBA Finals, commissioner Adam Silver explained how the league's investigation uncovered crucial information regarding the Morant ordeal but it wouldn't be disclosed during the Finals as a way of not taking away from the league's championship series.
