Cardi B recently hopped on Instagram Live to clear up the air about her Hot 97 Summer Jam set, saying she didn’t diss Ice Spice.
Cardi performed the song “Tomorrow 2” featuring GloRilla during her set. The song's transition found Cardi putting up images of orphan Annie while playing the song “Tomorrow” from the movie. Many thought the imagery was a jab at Ice Spice, who many say favor the character with her red hair. Speculation began online, with many claiming the rapper had issues with Ice Spice and her collaboration with Nicki Minaj, with whom Cardi had past issues.
After performing at Summer Jam, Cardi took to IG Live and said: “For y’all muthaf**kas that’s on Twitter tryna be messy, please, cut the bulls**t.” Cardi didn’t say fellow Bronx native Ice Spice by name but addressed the situation again. “I don’t — that’s not me, like come on now. First of all, y’all been wanting me to be messy about all things. Y’all wanted me to be messy on the song, y’all wanted me to — nah, come on now.,” said the Bronx rapper.
Cardi concluded by saying, “Cut the bullshit, please. Get the mop. Y’all being too messy and y’all being annoying.” Watch above.
