According to reports, a gunman killed a high school graduate and their father along with wounding five others during the graduation ceremony for Huguenot High School in Richmond, VA. 

The shooting took place at the Altria Theater where Acting Police Chief Rick Edwards says a total of seven people were shot. An 18-year-old graduate and his 36-year-old father succumbed to their injuries. A 31-year-old is suffering from life-threatening injuries. The other victims, all males, range from ages 14, 42, 55 and 58, but are said to have sustained non-life-threatening injuries. 

Six other people sustained injuries unrelated to the gunfire and a 9-year-old was hit by a car due to the melee caused by the gunfire. Authorities have apprehended a 19-year-old man that they believe was involved in the shooting. He is expected to be charged with two counts of second-degree murder with more potential charges.
