According to reports, authorities in New York state have disrupted a major drug operation which spanned across at least 7 counties. At least $9 million in cocaine, fentanyl, and heroin was seized as part of a two-year investigation into the drug trafficking ring.
New York Attorney General Letitia James says the ring was comprised of three interconnected groups responsible for moving the drugs in Monroe and Wayne counties — but also spread to Ontario, Orleans, Yates, Seneca and Cayuga counties.
”The roots of this investigation began with the search of the source of illicit narcotics in Wayne County," Sheriff Robert Milby said. "That quickly led us to the entirety of the Finger lakes region."
"They all lived within a few yards of each other, making Avenue D a major drug hub," said Attorney General James. "Buyers would be directed to different-colored houses to pick up their drugs."
