Maino was caught off guard while co-hosting Way Up with Angela Yee during a segment of "Tell Us a Secret," where people anonymously call in to tell their secrets on-air.
One of the callers was Maino's former cellmate "Sham," who said he gave Maino a shank to use during an altercation when they were locked up. Sham stated, "The secret I’m gonna tell you is that I gave Maino the shank when he went to fight Bar over breakfast early in the morning."
Judging by the look on his face, Maino was shocked. He then told Sham, "Oh my God! Aye Sham, I know it’s your voice. Nah, it's not anonymous 'cause he already said his name. This guy’s crazy. What’s up bro? How you feeling?"
After Sham told Maino that he "had to let ’em know," the call was disconnected, leading to Maino and Angela cracking jokes about Maino's "old jail war stories."
